Odes 06:08
Sing now your odes: Odes to Triumph. Odes to Barons, Odes to Brothers. Odes to Spirits, Odes to Shadow. One deeply felt, in the cultus gaze. The Triad’s birthright; the Sun ablaze. Lifted toward the apex of man, love-twins embody the life-stream’s span. Bringing them down, upon the crosses. A cobra’s voyance of the cruxes. For our saints of our choosing, recite. Judge ye. Set forth. Ignite. Sing now your odes: Odes to Trueness. Odes to read Rights. Odes to Rebirth. Odes to Hallows. Odes to Huntsmen. Odes to Disgust. Odes to Desire. In ridding mouths of salt and steam, our gilded lungs, they breathe, they gleam. Faltering backward, upon the rock. The snow holding, a handsome deadlock. Now cleanse your feet. Now drop your scruples. We’ll let these years form our carols. The kingdom of God is not in word. Our path is paved, not out-martyred. Sing now your odes: Odes to Death’s head. Odes to Fearing. Odes to Foresight. Odes to Cherubs. Odes to Charnels. Odes to last Lies. Sing now your odes.

Oh! The Sun. The Signs. The Silence in Your Eyes. Stirred round the Crown; beyond the Doorways.   Lit by lamps unseen by our eyes. Hunger’s hope caught in a disguise. Worlds of weight locked with the moonrise. Lord’s own light, the call of the skies.  The bones of love: ringing, writhing, reaching. Our bones of love: the amorous sway. The bones of love : wearing worry well. Our Bones of love:  the amorous sway. Logos lost with a sacrifice, formed your fate. A toss of the dice. Feed the flame without silver’s prize. Hold hemlock.  Stretching out the cries.

The Reigns 05:10
So we may take the reigns, transform our anguish, transform our ordeal. So we may take the reigns, transform our burden, transform our downfall. From the center, we pour outward. To the core we recoil, souls murdered. Of the essence we will conceal. For the polestar we shall reveal. From the axis, we search without. Back from the fulcrum, we all fade out. Of the structure we hide in sight. For the root we shall bathe in torchlight. From the seat, we swell spiraling. To the last bed, we fall inhaling. Of the nave we veil in honor. For the last heart that beats with vigor. The alchemy of one and all, up through the sky, down through the depths.
4.
Dark tides lasting. Dark tides, yearlong. The Speech of the Tides: A wailing. The Sight of the Tides: A Lamenting Heavenly. A Weaving. From On High. A Turning.
5.
The Threshold: The Great Gate Most holy: A flood's weight. We Depart. Birth: Our fate.  Like clustered pearls strung round our necks, the Universe corrects. A binding force, a yoke, union. The Seventh Ray risen. Of this one thread: guidance, ruling; do not let go wrestling. A string of arms, anchored, knotted. We must mind well, seated. A cord so tense pulled through the star We vigilant, unbar. This chain fixed in our hearts, our minds. Yet so scarce it spellbinds. Her strand lacing circles of awe. Our work follows this law. Her Braid arranged so perfectly. Light of the world, agree.

Who drowns in Grace, without the minutes? Swing the staircase, blessing the exits.  Who drowns in Grace, without having met their limits? Ring the embrace. Blind calls. Blessed exits.

about

Wreathes Wisconsin

Nathaniel Ritter and Troy Schafer, who started their dark music intimacy within a preceding band, the well-beloved Kinit Her, climb to a higher level within this same architecture with Wreathes. They continue to work with a maelstrom of percussion, catchy guitar hooks, dreamy horn arrangements, and the commanding presence of their voices ever-locked in the soaring harmonies of their perennialism. ... more
